Story

I want to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone that has supported the Supernova Legacy (campaign) ....It really is something special to me; the RCS is a very special place.."

Sam Heughan (RCS BA Acting, 2003) Actor, Producer, Author, Entrepreneur

The Supernova Scholarship's mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity by giving well-deserved overseas students a start to their acting career, to live their dreams to the fullest and create their own legacy. The Supernova Scholarship will help the next generation of actors pursue their dreams.

"The work that Supernova are doing to create opportunities for these new performers is incredible. Our industry can be unpenetrable without the means to support yourself while learning and developing your career. Funding efforts like this are often the difference between someone being able to live their dream, or not. I know I wouldn't have been able to be an actor today if it weren't for the generosity of others. Whatever you can give, big or small, really will make a difference. Thank you!"

Joanne Thomson (RCS BA Acting, 2014) Amy McCallum in Outlander

Created by fans of actor Sam Heughan , this scholarship will help open the door to potential students in this vast world of the arts.

In the words of the fans, "Our goal is to inspire and support others, as Sam has done for us."

Without my scholarship I wouldn't have been able to attend drama school and it truly has been a dream! I would have had to work at least 4 days a week on top of my studies just to make rent so I wouldn't have been able to give as much attention to my studies.
