Our beautiful South West is home to over 1000 charities working for human rights around the world. Teachers, doctors, professors, beekeepers and scientists are among the many inspiring leaders who staff our amazing member charities. They work from towns and villages across the Westcountry to deliver life-changing services that improve the lives of an incredible 19 million people in lower and middle income countries across the world. By giving locally, you can be part of this global impact.

It’s not just communities abroad who benefit from our South West charities. Our local communities are stronger for their commitment to social justice too. Working against injustice and inequality brings people together around shared goals. It builds empathy, connectedness and solidarity, both here in the South West and in the countries where the work is happening. It can tackle social isolation, improve wellbeing, develop new skills, build local resilience and create positive change in our society. We are all stronger when we work together for each other.
That’s why SWIDN exists. We believe that we work better when we work together. We bring people and ideas together around shared goals. We have seen great things happen when radical ideas and bold energies meet. We believe change is possible. Please consider supporting us financially if you believe in what we do.
