About the charity

Black Country Living Museum

BCLM is a registered educational charity and open-air Museum. Our aim is to welcome visitors into the inspiring stories of real people, their streets and homes, work and daily lives, so they too can see, taste, feel, smell, hear and join in 300 years of Black Country history.

Story

The unprecedented nature of the current public health crisis due to Coronavirus means we've had to close the Museum temporarily. This is to protect our visitors, colleagues, and wider public.

As an independent charity with more than 90% of our income coming from visitors, the closure will have a serious financial impact on the Museum.

So, we're asking for your help. If you are able, please make a donation to support us in preserving Black Country heritage and the important work we do with schools, community groups, and volunteers. Your support now means we can continue to play our role in the Black Country's future.

Thank you.

Museums like this are so valuable in keeping our history alive and reminding future generations what a comfortable life they have in comparison.
