St Bede's is a truly special place, providing expert care, comfort, dignity and compassion to patients and their loved ones during some of life's most difficult moments. It's a place where families can spend precious time together, create lasting memories and receive the support they need when it matters most.

That's why I've chosen to run the Great North Run in support of St Bede's. Every mile I complete will help raise funds for a service that makes such a profound difference to local patients and families.

The money raised helps fund equipment, specialist staff training and improvements that make the unit feel warmer, more comfortable and more like home.
