Story
Many of you will know and love one of our herd members Harley.
Recently Harley wasn't quite herself, and after veterinary investigations and X-rays, we discovered she had developed laminitis. Her X-rays showed rotation of the pedal bone in both of her front hooves, meaning the sensitive structures inside her feet have been damaged and are no longer supporting the bones as they should.
This is a serious condition that requires careful, ongoing management to keep her comfortable and give her the best chance of recovery. Harley is currently on box rest and now needs frequent farrier visits, ongoing veterinary care and supportive equipment as part of her recovery.
So far, her care has already cost over £400, with further expenses to come in the weeks and months ahead.
As a small charity, unexpected costs like these have a significant impact, but we are committed to doing everything we can for Harley.
If you'd like to support her recovery, any donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards her ongoing care.
Thank you for your support!
