Story
For over 25 years, Mull and Iona Ranger Service has connected our community and visitors to our island’s incredible landscape, history and wildlife.
Now, we urgently need your help.
National funding cuts mean our Ranger Service — a vital lifeline for Mull and Iona — is at risk.
What’s at stake?
• Ancient Atlantic oak and hazel woodland
• Flower rich machair
• 300 miles of coastline
• A unique archipelago of wildlife-rich islands and skerries
• 6,000 years of settlement, culture and stories
• A landscape often described as Scotland in miniature
This extraordinary natural and cultural heritage needs protection — and that is what our rangers do every single day.
Our Rangers:
• Protect and monitor wildlife
• Improve and maintain footpaths and parking
• Support landowners and farmers with access
• Resolve countryside issues on behalf of our community
• Lead outdoor learning, events and environmental education
Without new support, this work — and the people who deliver it — will disappear.
You can help protect the places you love.
You can help keep our Ranger Service alive.
