Support Nancy's Walk Along the Camino de Santiago!

Campaign by The Nasio Trust

Nancy, the Nasio Trust's CEO, is taking a sabbatical to walk the Camino de Santiago. Support her journey as we celebrate Nasio's 25th Anniversary!

The Nasio Trust is a UK registered charity and Kenyan NGO which supports orphaned and vulnerable children and empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty. Established over 20 years ago, our community-based approach is aimed at providing a holistic solution to tackling the root causes of poverty through education, healthcare, psychosocial support, food security and income generation. Our Philosophy. We believe children should not grow up in institutions like orphanages, where they are isolated from society because of poverty, sickness, disease or death of parents. Children should live in a loving family with dignity without being stigmatised by the cause of their vulnerability.

Story

This year marks 25 years of The Nasio Trust.

25 years of children supported

25 years of communities strengthened

25 years of lives changed - together with you

In recognition of this amazing milestone, I will be walking a 250km section of the Camino de Santiago in May - an incredible journey across Spain!

It’s a time for reflection. But also a moment to look forward and contemplate an important question: How do we truly break the cycle of poverty and reach the next generation of children who still need support?

Our goal in 2026: Raise £25,000 for child sponsorship

Many years ago, my mother found a 3 month old baby called Moses, alone in a field. Today, he is a qualified dental technician. That is what long-term support can do. And there are hundreds of children today with that same potential.

Please consider standing with me and them by sponsoring my adventure.

What your support can do:

£25 - supports a child for one month

£50 - provides essential school supplies

£100 - buys school uniforms for six children

£250 - covers a year of primary school fees

As I walk each day, I’ll be thinking about the journey these children are on and the role we can all play in supporting them. Thank you for being part of this story. Everything we have achieved over the past 25 years has been because of people like you.

Now we take the next steps - together.
