Story

Alhamdulillah, since 1995, our mosque has been blessed with the presence of our founding Imam, whose dedication, wisdom, and sincerity have illuminated our hearts and guided our community for nearly 30 years. As our beloved Imam now enters his later years, it becomes our collective duty to prepare for the future by appointing a part-time Imam who can carry forward this sacred trust (Amanah).

We seek a part-time Imam who has been raised in the UK, someone who understands the unique challenges and realities our community faces, particularly the struggles of our youth. This Imam will not only lead our prayers but will also serve as a mentor, an educator, and a spiritual guide—delivering reminders that awaken the heart, teaching gatherings that nourish the soul, and building a space where the entire community feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to draw closer to Allah.

Why Now? As the blessed month of Ramadan begins—a month filled with divine mercy and multiplied rewards—there is no better time to give for the sake of Allah. Contributing to the appointment of an Imam is not just a donation; it is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) that will continue to benefit you long after you leave this world.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person dies, all their deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them." (Muslim)

With every prayer led, every word of advice given, every youth guided back to the path of Allah, and every heart softened through his teaching—you will share in the reward, InshaAllah.

Allah (SWT) reminds us in the Qur'an: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed that grows seven ears, and in every ear there are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing." (Qur’an 2:261)

This is not simply about supporting a mosque—it is about safeguarding the spiritual well-being of our families, our children, and generations to come. It is about securing a means of guidance and mercy for this community, and about investing in your Akhirah through a deed that will weigh heavily on the scales when you stand before your Lord.

Give generously, seeking only the pleasure of Allah. May He accept your contribution, purify your wealth, bless your family, and make this a source of light in your grave and shade on the Day of Judgment. Ameen.
