I work in the Clinical Skills Centre, a state-of-the-art training facility where we support the development of students, doctors, and healthcare professionals. With realistic ward environments and fully equipped simulation rooms, it’s a place where vital skills are learned, practised, and perfected - helping ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Every day in Gateshead, we have the privilege of supporting thousands of people who rely on our hospital and community services. While incredibly rewarding, healthcare can also be a demanding and emotionally challenging environment for staff and students alike.

That’s why I’m hoping to raise funds to create a peaceful outdoor space - somewhere with simple additions like garden seating - where staff, students and doctors can step away, reflect, and recharge. A calm, welcoming space can make such a difference to wellbeing, helping those who care for others to take care of themselves too.
