Thank you for your time visiting my page. I am fundraising to help purchase two ventilators to save lives of unwell children through the ‘’Little Breaths’’ project at Croydon University Hospital.
As a proud dad of two young children, I understand how crucial this equipment will be to families and the local community and that is why I am hoping that you will support me in this effort.
I have been working in the NHS for over 18 years and at Croydon Health Services for 8 years now. I am going to cycle 55 miles from London to Brighton on 10th September 2023 to raise money for the Croydon Health Services Charitable Fund.
I love volunteering and helping to raise funds for charitable work and have been actively assisting different charities and local voluntary & community organisations during my spare time.
It has been my pleasure to take part in fundraising for people in need through the Croydon Nepalese Community UK (CNC-UK) during my two-year tenure (2019-2021) as the President of this organisation. I was also successful in organising a blood donation programme as a co-ordinator of a blood drive where over 20 people took part in blood donation and I was happy to have donated blood myself.
It was a proud moment to have been able organise free lunch distribution event through CNC-UK to my hard working colleagues at Croydon University Hospital, at the very beginning of the first national lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic, on the 6th April 2020.
I have also been helping fundraise as a Trustee of the Chitwan Aid Trust (CAT-UK). I got another opportunity to co-ordinate a blood donation event through this charity organisation where over 20 people took part in the blood drive and many more were inspired to donate blood and to save lives. I managed to donate myself again and I am looking for an opportunity to organise another blood donation event and to donate blood for the third time myself.
As one of the Directors of the Asian Resource Centre of Croydon (ARCC) since November 2019, a voluntary and charity organisation here in Croydon, I have currently been providing strategic direction to ARCC on different projects around Mental Health and wellbeing, healthy living, cancer awareness and, free health checks and actively taking part in its charity fund raising events. I am happy to have volunteered as a trainer myself to deliver the first cohort of Expert Patient Programme (EPP) organised by ARCC to people with long-term health conditions in the borough.
While working at St George’s University Hospital in 2012, I was able to volunteer for 14 days of my time as an Olympic Family Assistant by being one of the ‘’Gamesmaker’’ of the summer Olympics - London 2012. It was one of the most rewarding volunteering events, I have taken part in thus far.
For this event, I am extremely delighted to have an opportunity to raise funds for the hospital where I work and the community we serve, to procure vital equipment for the paediatric department that has a potential of saving many lives and to bring happiness to around 60 extra families every year. Your generosity and kind help for this good cause will be highly appreciated!
