🌞 Bring Solar Power to Baba's sacred Vrindavan Ashram 🌿
Extreme heat is threatening lives in Vrindavan.
With summer temperatures soaring above 45°C for months, life has become unbearable. Power cuts are frequent, and without electricity, water pumps, fans, lights, and essential equipment stop working. For many, this is not just discomfort—it is a matter of survival
At Sri Radha Giridhari Mandir in Sri Vrindavan Dham—the sacred sister town of Glastonbury—this crisis is deeply felt. The ashram is home to sadhus, sadhvis, kirtan babas, brahmacari students, pilgrims, and Gaumata cows. It also serves the wider community through:
✨ A free daily clinic treating malaria, typhoid, fever, asthma, diarrhoea, and other tropical illnesses.
✨ Prasadam food distribution, clothing, blankets, and toys for those in need.
✨ A sacred space of worship, kirtan, and spiritual learning.
⚡️ But all this depends on electricity. Without it:
The borehole pump cannot provide water.
Fans and cooling systems cannot run to counter dangerous heat.
Medical services and prasadam distribution are disrupted.
🌞 The Solution: Harness the Power of the Sun
We need to install a 10kWh off-grid solar power system with batteries as well as a solar water heater to ensure reliable energy—independent from the failing grid.
This will guarantee:
✅ Safe drinking water
✅ Cooling and lighting for residents, pilgrims and the Gau mata cows
✅ Power for the free clinic and prasadam kitchen
✅ Continued seva (service) to the poor and vulnerable
🌳 Alongside solar, we will also plant trees around the ashram to reduce pollution and provide natural shade and cooling.
🙏 How You Can Help
Your contribution will directly:
Protect residents, pilgrims, and cows from deadly heat
Keep lifesaving medical care running for the poor
Support prasadam distribution and daily seva
Reduce the demand on our Earth Mother with clean, renewable energy
💛 Together we can bring light, water, and life to Vrindavan. Please support this urgent solar project.
