What is Ride & Stride Plus

Essentially, Ride & Stride encouraged participants to get sponsorship to walk or ride (bike, horse, car, electric buggy) to churches across the county. Ride & Stride Plus extends sponsorship activities beyond this to riding static bikes in churches, being a recorder/helper on the day... got another idea, let us know.

What are the funds raised for?

50% goes to the participants Church (or choice of organisation), 50% goes to the Sussex Historic Churches Trust. This fundraising for SHCT is essential so that we can continue with our work of preserving historic places of worship, of all denominations, throughout Sussex.

Why do historic buildings need grants

Many historic churches, chapels and meeting houses are battling to survive. Roofs leak, ancient timbers rot and medieval stonework crumbles.
