What is Ride + Stride?

Ride + Stride encourages participants to get sponsored to walk or ride (bike, horse, car, electric buggy) to as many churches across the county as possible.

What are the funds raised for?

50% goes to the participant's place of worship, 50% goes to the Sussex Historic Churches Trust. This fundraising for SHCT is essential so that we can continue with our work of preserving historic places of worship, of all denominations, throughout Sussex.

Why do historic buildings need grants?

Many historic churches, chapels and meeting houses are battling to survive. Roofs leak, ancient timbers rot and medieval stonework crumbles.
