SVR was established in 1910 to provide accommodation and support for ex-Service men and women of all ages who are homeless, isolated or in need. We have residences in Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow. We aim to help as many veterans as possible who are in need for as long as that need is there.

Story

A brand-new experience for Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR).. An abseil off the tallest whisky distillery in the world!

This is the first year the Port of Leith Distillery Abseil has been held, and SVR are one of many charities who will benefit from the bravery of those prepared to take on the challenge. Team SVR will get their turn on Saturday, 10 May, and we are hoping you will support us by donating to our charity.

This is a truly unique experience - participants will descend 100ft down the Port of Leith Distillery, with views across Edinburgh’s skyline and of the historic Royal Yacht Britannia. The Port of Leith Distillery is the UK’s first vertical distillery, a striking nine-storey tower wedged into Leith’s historic waterfront.
