Story
What a start to the year we’ve had!
With so many changes happening here at Swan Lifeline, one thing we could really have done without was losing both of our rescue vans. After many years of service and thousands of rescues, they have finally reached the point where they are no longer viable to repair.
Our vans are the first step in every rescue. Every call we receive — from an injured swan tangled in fishing line to an abandoned cygnet needing urgent help — starts with one of our team getting into a van and heading out to help.
Right now, we urgently need to replace one of those vehicles.
This is where we need your help. Without a rescue van we simply can’t reach birds in distress. Our goal is £10,000 to secure a replacement van and the essential equipment needed to turn it into a working wildlife rescue ambulance, including the livery that helps the public recognise us when we’re responding to emergencies.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us get one step closer to getting back on the road and continuing the work these birds rely on us for.
Thank you for supporting Swan Lifeline and helping us be there when a swan needs us most.
