Please help make this possible for our cohousers and students who enjoy keeping fit and are keen swimmers; and those who are enjoying learning to swim; and those who being in the water is essential occupational therapy - we are eager for this project to become a reality.

Our next stage of development at Pond House, following the refurbishment of the house, landscaping work and installation of a boardwalk surrounding the pond, is to recommission the outdoor swimming pool with a cover which allows extended use throughout the year, along with renovation costs to ensure the pool room is fit for use.

The landscaping finances did not extend to the necessary pool works; therefore, we now need to raise funds for these much wanted facilities. We really hope that we can have the pool ready for use this summer. Everyone at Pond House is very keen to use the swimming pool and it will be available for all at The Mount.

We are looking to cover the pool with a mid-height sliding lockable clear safety cover which will extend the useable season and allows swimming with the cover on, along with an air-source heat pump to heat the water.

We have in place pool risk assessments and up to 12 coworkers will receive the level 2 pool emergency responder training.
