Story

The Nelson Trust Womens Centre in Swindon is expanding into larger premises so we are able to support more women. Having more space will allow us to offer more activities and groups in a safe supportive environment.

The Womens Centre is a one stop shop where women can address multiple needs whilst their children are in our onsite crèche. Our key workers offer women one-to-one support across the 9 pathways
:: Accommodation;
:: Finances, education, training and employment;
:: Domestic abuse and sexual violence;
:: Children, families and relationships;
:: Health;
:: Physical, emotional and mental;
:: Attitudes, thinking and behaviour;
:: Drugs and alcohol and sexual exploitation.

We run a variety of groups and sessions in the centre including therapeutic art, lunch clubs and emotional health and wellbeing courses.

We would like to expand this to directly meet the needs of the women in our local community. We work with some of the most vulnerable women in our society and are asking for your help to furnish our new womens space to create a warm and safe environment.
