Swing Gate Wellbeing Space

Friends of Swing Gate School are fundraising to create a dedicated wellbeing space in the school.
Friends of Swing Gate School are fundraising to create a dedicated wellbeing space in the school.
Mental health and wellbeing is a huge challenge amongst children of the age of Swing Gate's pupils (3 to 7) so we want to do all we can to support the school in their top priority of creating a new wellbeing space for all the children to benefit from.
Swing Gate School has wellbeing corners in every classroom, which work so well for those needing a quiet area or a space to regulate their emotions. However, the space is limited so that only a couple of children can access the area at one time.
This ambitious project will provide two dedicated internal spaces - a play therapy and intervention area for children needing 1:1 support, and a larger sensory space for whole classes, small groups and individuals to access. It will also create an outdoor calm area to support the children's wellbeing in all areas of the school.
All of the Friends of Swing Gate fundraising events for the next two terms, as well as our Christmas fundraisers, will go towards the campaign, together with any generous extra donations from our supporters.
Thank you for your help - it's for the kids!
