Swing Low play their first game ever against Heslington East Rugby, of the University of York. This is in aid of local charity TeamLuke, Movember UK and BEAT. Nine teams are represented in this wonderful mishmash of a team, all of whom who believe strongly in these causes.
Money donated through JustGiving will be split equally between each charity.
The TeamLuke Foundation was set up as a legacy to Luke Bell, an 8-year-old boy who was such an inspiration, who lost his 21-month battle with cancer on 23 December 2018. He had been suffering from Neuroblastoma. The foundation is set up in his memory, helping fight cancer.
Movember UK is a charity at the forefront of campaigning and supporting mens health; it supports causes such as testicular cancer, prostate cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
BEAT is the UKs main eating disorder charity, and they work to make sure that anyone who is suffering from an eating disorder, as well as those close to them, have someone to listen to. They work to end the pain and suffering caused by disorders such as Anorexia, Binge Eating Disorder and Bulimia.
