Amy, Switch on the Future's founder and trustee flew over to Kenya in 2020 to meet Mary, the headteacher at The Roots Intitute and the students and staff behind
Mary from The Roots Insititute has a vision of building a purpose-built school in Mathare, one of the largest slums in Kenya to deliver education to hundreds of children in the community. Switch on the Future is supporting Mary to fulfill her vision and needs your support.

Switching on Mathare will help bring a lasting change to hundreds of children's lives by providing connectivity peripherals such as wireless mobile access, free data sims, computers, and tablets plus help build classrooms and an urban garden for students at The Roots Insititute.

About Switch on the Future
Our goal is to bring change to children's lives by providing digital connectivity for their education. Switch on the Future is working to equip the next generation of disadvantaged communities in the UK, Africa, and Latin America with the capabilities they need. Many areas don't have technology devices or online connectivity, further exacerbated by Coronavirus.
