Sycamore Trust supports autistic children, young people, adults, and their families across Barking & Dagenham, Havering, and Redbridge. Our services provide information, advice, peer support, and inclusive activities to help families feel supported, connected, and understood.

In the lead-up to Autism Acceptance Week, we want to give children and young people the chance to enjoy a fun, inclusive session at Kid Space.

Parent/carers often tell us how difficult it can be to access fun activities for their child, due to their needs. Attending typical community events can feel overwhelming, making it hard for families to enjoy time together. This private event will provide a safe and welcoming space where:

• Children can be themselves and have fun

• Parent/carers can connect with other families living similar experiences

• The whole family, including siblings, can enjoy a relaxed family event together, something that can be difficult to achieve in typical settings

We need to raise £650 to hire the space. Sycamore Trust’s amazing staff team will be volunteering their time to organise and host the event. If the full amount is raised, we will be able to offer this wonderful event free of charge to families and if we are lucky enough to raise more than £650 we will use it to make the event even more special depending on the amount. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help make this special experience possible.
