Story

The partnership between Sykes Holiday Cottages and the Hospice of the Good Shepherd is very special, that saw the staff of Sykes Holiday Cottages raising a stunning £35,000 for the Hospice in 2023.

The Sykes teams took part in a whole host of events, from Running Marathons in Chester and New York, to running the Santa Dash around the streets of Chester City Centre. The team even won an award in the Hospice £50 Corporate Challenge for their fundraising skills to turn £50 to a bigger donation.

The highlight of the year was the 60 staff abseil from the the Sykes HQ, staff abseiled down the entire 98ft building raising a stunning amount of income.

So we are once again teaming up in 2024 and we want to even bigger and better than ever before, all to support out community when they need the care and love of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

The Sykes team based in Chester will be taking on some special fundraising events over the year, all to raise much needed funds for the Hospice.

Every year the Hospice has to raise a stunning £5 million pounds to keep caring for the West Cheshire and Deeside community, when they need end of life palliative care, living well services and bereavement counselling, all these services are free to everyone attending the Hospice.

Every pound donated to the Hospice will make such a massive difference, so thank you for any donation you can make.
