Story

For nearly 100 years, Synthonia Scout Group has been at the heart of Billingham, giving thousands of young people the chance to grow, learn, and thrive. From teaching teamwork and resilience to offering adventure and friendship, our hut has been the safe space where memories are made and futures are shaped.

But now, as we approach our centenary, our headquarters urgently needs a new roof. Decades of service have taken their toll, and without this essential repair, we risk losing the very place that has nurtured generations of Scouts.

We’ve already worked hard to modernise our building — new heating, windows, and facilities — but the roof is beyond what our volunteers and coffee mornings can raise alone. The cost is high, yet the impact is priceless: a safe, sustainable home for our children and community for the next 100 years.

By donating, you’re not just funding bricks and mortar. You’re investing in young people’s futures, in a space where they discover confidence, kindness, and skills for life. Together, we can keep the spirit of Scouting alive in Billingham.

**Please help us build the next 100 years.**
