It’s difficult to fully understand their experience, but we invite you to gain a deeper understanding by participating in our sponsored event: “Take a Walk on the Blind Side.” You’ll embark on a one-mile journey blindfolded, placing your trust in a sighted guide.

With reliance on your guide, your senses will heighten. Your balance will become more acute, and you’ll gain a heightened awareness of your body as it navigates various surfaces. You’ll feel the rush of air on your face, possibly taste the sea breeze if you’re near the coast or catch the scent of fresh-cut grass and blooming flowers in a local park. The voices of those around you, as well as the calls of seagulls or the sounds of farm animals, will become vivid. This experience will awaken your senses like never before.

Participating in this event is not only an exercise in trust but also an opportunity to foster empathy and understanding. Are you ready for the challenge?

Here’s how it works

Sign up: Once signed up, you’ll receive a complimentary “Take a Walk on the Blind Side” pack, complete with an InFocus blindfold.

Fundraise: Create a fundraising page and collect sponsorships from your supporters.

Choose your guide: Select a responsible individual who will follow provided safety guidelines and guide you safely on your one-mile journey.

Pick your route: Choose your preferred route and set a date for the event.

Spread the word: Share your challenge on social media and be sure to tag us with #Blindside.
