Story

Friends of the Cancer Centre's work focuses on four key areas – patient care, patient comfort, research and cancer awareness – supporting the services provided by the Health Service.

In the last year the charity has invested over £1.13 million into local cancer services through the life-saving and life-changing work we support.

The sponsorship money raised through this event helps fund the charity's vital support services to patients and their families across Northern Ireland.

How your support can make a difference:

£10 could provide tea and coffee for 43 people attending the hospital for treatment

£25 could help pay for an hour of support from a Friends of the Cancer Centre speciality nurse

£50 could pay for 2 patients to receive a complementary therapy session to help manage the side effects of treatment

£200 could help support a patient financially through the grant programme

About the charity

Each year Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life saving and life changing projects which make a real and positive difference to thousands of cancer patients and their families. The charity relies on donations from the public to be able to support these patients locally and across Northern Ireland.
