What is TAP For Bristol?
TAP for Bristol is a not-for-profit initiative from Bristol City Centre BID in partnership with homeless support charity Caring in Bristol.
It offers a new way of giving. TAP for Bristol donation points are located in the windows of businesses and contactless devices in cafes and businesses around the city, allowing people to make a simple and secure donation of £3 per tap using a contactless debit or credit card.
Why choose Tap For Bristol?
All your donations through TAP for Bristol are managed by Quartet Community Foundation. This means that money goes directly to those who need it via people and organisations that are skilled at supporting them.
Donations will become small grants which will be available to those who need immediate help to leave homelessness behind.
Grants will be available for local charities, organisations and community groups to support named individuals towards a safer, more stable life.
Helping to solve homelessness relies on our city's ability to support long-term prevention programmes tackling systemic issues around homelessness.
Early intervention is critical to preventing homelessness, as is raising awareness about the complexities surrounding homelessness.
TAP for Bristol will support new work in prevention whilst also supporting those needing emergency care.
