We at Tarporley & District Rotary Club work hard throughout the year to support a wide range of charities, some local, some in the UK and some international. Rotary is a non-political organisation and funds raised are always used for the benefit of local communities.

The international reach of Rotary means that in most cases there is a local Rotary Club "on the ground" to ensure that funds are well targeted and not misused. Often, donations will be delivered in the form of goods rather than cash to avoid losses through fraud or corruption.

Since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, we have raised and donated funds for medical and humanitarian purposes in Ukraine itself. Locally, we have funded and deliver an ongoing programme teaching English to our local Ukrainian guests who range from babies to senior citizens. We also help with practical things, be that advice or getting our hands dirty doing some decorating to turn a flat into a home.
