Story
Why Taste the World matters
A symbol of inclusivity: The joy of food is universal. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether sharing a family recipe, exploring new flavours, or simply coming together in support of our community.
A taste of togetherness: Across every culture, food is a source of comfort and healing. This event reminds us that no matter where we come from, we all experience love, loss, and the importance of community.
Supporting compassionate care: Every bite taken, every dish shared, and every donation made supports our commitment to celebrating and amplifying life, enabling people to live well for as long as possible.
At St John’s Hospice, we recognise that illness does not discriminate - it affects people of all ages, backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, sexualities, and beliefs. Just as we come together to provide quality, holistic care for anyone living with a life-limiting illness, our new fundraiser, Taste the World, celebrates being united by food and connected by care.
