At this year's Annual Tattykeel Australian White Sale, Tattykeel have generously made the decision to donate 100% of the sale price of the first flock ram to Spinal Cord Injuries Australia. Tattykeel Resilience whilst being the first flock ram up for sale will have the potential to be upgraded to a stud ram, if the purchaser wishes to do so.
All money raised from generous donations and the sale of Tattykeel 'Resilience' will go towards Spinal Cord Injuries Australia's Peer and Family Support program, to assist individuals living with spinal injury in central-west NSW. The Gilmore Family have decided to support this great program, after knowing how critical the support has been for close friends, Phillip Pellow and his daughters Jess and Ashlea Pellow and Sam Henry, whose family have been long term supporters of the Tattykeel Australian White program, owning a stud of their own.
Tattykeel understands the importance of assisting individuals with spinal cord injury through rehabilitation, to enable them to live their best life, whilst still dealing with the long term challenges spinal injuries pose.
After spending over a year in a spinal rehab unit after a serious car accident resulted in
paraplegia, Sam Henry recently returned home to Central West NSW. Now 22, Sam is starting a new chapter of his life on the farm as a person in a wheelchair.
If I had not met the SCIA Peer Support team I dont know what I would be doing right now, I certainly wouldnt be out on a quad bike pig hunting, thats for sure. The team have opened my eyes to things that I wouldnt have thought possible. The support I received while I was in rehab and continue to receive is invaluable and has given me hope and the confidence to live my best life.
If youd like to be a part of this amazing initiative, you can either donate through the link
provided, or by bidding on Tattykeel 'Resilience' at the Annual Sale on the 28th on September at "Braxton Park" Oberon (Auction commences at 10am).
Resilience will be on display for your inspection on the 27th of September at the Tattykeel Open Day starting at 12pm.

Each year there are around 320 newly injured spinal cord patients entering our spinal rehab units and over 15,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in Australia.
Spinal Cord Injuries Australia's Peer and Family Support program is the only service of its kind where people with lived experience are able to share their stories and experiences with those with new or existing spinal cord injuries and their families. This support can be whilst they are in trauma in the spinal unit, when they transition back to home, and at the critical times throughout their life when they need to tap into people with lived experience.
The Peer and Family Support team provide the hope and positive mindset that is so important for recovery and show through personal example that it is possible to get through the trauma of your injury, recover, and still live your best life.
Show your support and help people like Sam, living with spinal cord injury in Central West NSW to live their best life.
