Assalamu Alaykum all,

Alhamdulillah the holy month of Ramadhan will be upon us very soon and all of us insha-Allah will be focusing on getting close to our Creator through worship and charity.

Last year there were thousands of beneficiaries of your Zakat, Sadaqah, Lillah, Fitrana and Fidya donations.

Please support me this Ramadhan to sustain the orphan children at KORT and to provide essential aid to those in need across Azad Kashmir.

Here are KORT's Ramadhan 2020 Appeals:

Zakat, meaning to purify, is the third pillar of Islam and is a compulsory charitable payment that goes on to benefit the poor and needy.

Fidya £5 per missed fast - Anyone who is unable to fast during Ramadhan due to health & medical reasons and is unable to make up the fasts after Ramadhan, must pay Fidya at £5 per missed fast.

Fitrana £5 per person - Fitrana is a way to give thanks to Allah for having enabled us the strength to observe the fasts and a way to cleanse ourselves of any shortcomings during the month of Ramadhan. Donate your Fitrana before the 15th of Ramadhan to ensure that we can distribute the Fitrana among needy people so that they can celebrate Eid with their families. Adults should pay for themselves as well as children or others in their care unable to make the payment themselves.

Eid Gift £40 - Provide Eid clothes, footwear and a gift for orphan children. Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah is accepted for this appeal.

Food Pack £50 - With lock down enforcement causing difficulties for people to access food and essentials, KORT is on the ground providing essentials to needy people across Azad Kashmir and the LOC (Line of Control). Each pack contains essential food items whilst medicines, baby food and baby essentials are also provided to those in need. Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah is accepted for this appeal.
