Maintaining the TODMORDEN CENTENARY WAY

Organised by CROWS

Upland routes like the TCW need a lot of maintenance to keep it in good order. CROWS volunteers do an annual survey of the route to identify work needed. What we need is additional funding to carry out the repairs identified on our yearly survey.

We are a group of volunteers who have many years experience of dealing with overgrown vegetation and trees, wobbly stiles, treacherous slopes and boggy terrain. We are based in Mytholmroyd and work in the Upper Calder and Ryburn Valleys.

Story

The republishing of the Todmorden Centenary Way has given CROWS the opportunity to survey and waymark the whole route including the link paths. It is a great walk and all the better for being able to do it in short sections.

We have identified a lot of work that needs doing (just under £1000) and this campaign aims to set up a sustainable arrangement for future maintenance.

CROWS raises funds locally but as a charity (our charity number is EW21852) we will need to rely on supporters to to carrry out this work.
