Intro
The HealthBus is proud to be one of the five headline charities for the Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run 2026. As an award-winning charity, we provide accessible, specialist healthcare to individuals experiencing homelessness in Bournemouth and surrounding areas.
Why 43?
Team 43 is not just the name of a campaign, it is not a headline and it is not something we talk about lightly.
Women experiencing homelessness have an average life expectancy of just 43 years. That figure comes from ONS statistical bulletin and it represents lives shortened by barriers to care, safety and dignity.
She should live longer than 43.
Women facing homelessness often experience poorer health, higher levels of trauma and far fewer opportunities to access the care most of us can rely on. Too often, they remain unseen until they are unwell and often, even beyond that.
This is why HealthBus exists.
And this is why Team 43 matters.
Community action changes what feels inevitable. It brings visibility, it creates connection and it turns awareness into something people can stand behind together.
You can help!
On 22 March 2026, HealthBus will be a headline charity at the Vitality Bournemouth Bay Run with Team 43, standing alongside our community to highlight the importance of women's health.
