Team BCDH are taking on Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 15th October 2023

Every year Bath Cats and Dogs Home enters a team of runners, of all levels of ability, to Bath Half Marathon - one of the most popular road runs in the UK. If you're running this year, and want to be a part of Team BCDH, click the Start Fundraising button to set up your online fundraising page.

The Event

Bath Half is one of the longest-established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. The course itself is fast and flat, making it suitable for all abilities - whether you are new to running or aiming for your personal best. The route take you alongside the River Avon, and right through the heart of the historical city of Bath.

The Impact of Team BCDH

In 2023, Team BCDH are running to fundraise for vulnerable animals who are unwanted or have been neglected and abandoned through no fault of their own. These animals are rescued, rehabilitated, and given a second chance at happiness in new loving homes.

We set a fundraising target of £250, which is enough to keep a rescue dog safe and comfortable in a kennel for a week. The impact our Bath Half runners is vital to our work every year, and goes a long way to spreading the word about the work we do with vulnerable animals.

Bath Cats and Dogs Home

Bath Cats and Dogs Home rescue over 700 animals every year from throughout Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire. In 2019, we were able to find new loving homes for 907 of them, as well as reuniting many stray animals who had gone missing with their families.
