Miriam Skrade is our inaugural director of UIU’s new honors and experiential learning program called ExcEL: Excellence in Experiential Learning. She’s busy recruiting ExcEL Scholars, building career development curriculum, establishing meaningful work experiences, and developing marketing content. In her spare time, we asked her to be our Director of Fayette Admissions. While she’s new this year to our staff and Team Peacock, she’s not a new friend and supporter of Upper Iowa. Her husband, Dr. Paul Skrade, is in his 10th year at UIU and joining for his 5th RAGBRAI with us. Miriam brings dynamic strengths and passion to the UIU ExcEL program and its participants. Cultivating engaging and supportive environments for college students has been her life’s work!
