I’m proud to ride once again with Team Peacock. Every July, I go across Iowa with Team Peacock to raise funds for Upper Iowa University and for the students whose lives are changed by the support we provide.

Riding miles or support crew in the July heat isn’t easy, but it’s worth every mile or bead of sweat. I take great pride in supporting UIU and helping create opportunities for our students and alumni.

I can’t reach my goal without you. Your gift — of any size — makes a meaningful difference.

I'm Sarah Rafson, MAT, LAT, ATC and one of UIU’s Athletic Trainers and I work with Women’s Soccer and Women’s Basketball. I went to the University of Northern Iowa for both my undergraduate and Master degrees. During my time there I spent lots of time on the bike trails. Athlough my love for biking started way before college and I get to share that love with my family. In August 2023 I biked 100 miles in one day a crossed 3 states alongside my older sister. This was a fundraiser ride for Type 1 Diabetes. I also participated in part of RAGBRAI last summer and I am thrilled to do it again this year!
