We deliver the Hospitality Academy Internship Programme; which provides people with learning difficulties/autism aged 16-24 with the opportunity to gain work experience, skills and qualifications within a Conference Centre with the aim of increasing employment opportunities and social inclusion. With encouragement and pride, our learners contribute in a real and integral way to the running of this professional environment.

Alongside professionals in an active workplace setting, Hospitality Academy learners work in the People First Conference Centre in Carlisle. At the Centre they develop the skills and confidence to thrive in paid employment.

We believe in a world where each and every individual is treated equally, fairly and where their rights, choices and beliefs are respected. We help people with learning difficulties to live independent lives.

For the first time ever, we have been lucky to secure a limited number of places in this years Great North Run. By supporting our runners, you are helping People First on our mission to support even more people with learning difficulties.
