Story

Go Team Sense Scotland

Sense Scotland take great pride in our incredible supporters who continue to take on the Dundee Kiltwalk challenge year after year. Our dedicated frontline staff, families, and the individuals we support all come together to tackle the two available routes in Dundee.

The Wee Wander, a delightful 4-mile route alongside the River Tay, offers the perfect opportunity for a peaceful walk. For those ready to embrace the ultimate Kiltwalk challenge, the Mighty Stride spans a demanding 20-mile journey.

Sunday marked the third Kiltwalk of the year, Supporters, staff, and people we support joined members of the Fundraising team at the City of Discovery to take on either a Wee Wander or Mighty Stride, raising funds for Sense Scotland in the process. The sun was shining on Team Sense Scotland, which included ICT Manager Jim - taking on his third Mighty Stride of the year, Touchbase Fife Admin, Bill Black and staff and people we support from Bridge of Earn and Tulloch Hill.

This was an especially huge achievement for the people we support - a group which included Raymond (82 - the oldest-ever Sense Scotland Kiltwalk participant), Adam (joined by his family, who came all the way from London to see him), Iris (who overcame her anxiety to participate), as well as Michael, Shona, Alistair, Callum, Fiona and Avril. The group had never done anything like this before, and left with a real sense of achievement - and a chippy for tea!

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. - Helen Keller, 1880-1968
