Team Scottish Refugee Council Hairy Haggisers!

On our 40 Anniversary year, our team are taking on the Hairy Haggis relay race in solidarity with those seeking safety in Scotland.

We are an independent human rights charity dedicated to providing advice, information and assistance to refugees in Scotland. We campaign for a fair and humane asylum system in the UK, and support and promote diverse and welcoming communities across Scotland.

Story

This year, Scottish Refugee Council marks our 40th Anniversary of offering protection to those seeking safety in Scotland.

Next month, we will be undertaking a collective marathon as part of this year's Edinburgh Marathon Festival Hairy Haggis relay race - in solidarity with those forced to flee miles from home in search of safety.

At Scottish Refugee Council, we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness no matter where they come from or how they arrived.

Team #SRC40 are going the distance to raise awareness and crucial funds to help those who have been torn from their homes and forced to rebuild their lives from scratch. The question is: will you help us to make a difference?

Meet our Hairy Haggisers!

1. First up we will have our Data and Impact Officer, Erika!

2. Next, we’ll have our Refugee Integration Advisor, Robyn!

3. Third, we have our Services Volunteer, Hadi!

4. Last but not least, our CEO Sabir!

All of our team use their skills and experience every day to help refugees. None of our team are professional runners, but are all willing to go the distance as part of the bigger picture in making Scotland a more welcoming and inclusive place for refugees and asylum seekers.

Thank you!

With each donation you can help support all aspects of our organisation and the work our Hairy Haggisers and wider team run everyday!

We greatly appreciate your generosity and support! It goes a long way to supporting refugees in Scotland. Thank you!
