Story

Join team WheelPower for the 2024 London Marathon and help transform the lives of people like Hannah...

Hannah has a condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which affects the collagen in her body, meaning she is prone to dislocations and is unable to walk long distances, meaning she uses a wheelchair to get around.

2022 saw Hannah attend the National Junior Games for the first time after seeing the event advertised online and this is what she had to say about the event.

"It's my first time here and it's been absolutely amazing. I'm loving the buzz about it and it's been really enjoyable"

Hannah had some advice to anyone thinking about taking up wheelchair sport or attending the National Junior Games. "Just come and give it a go. You will absolutely love it and you will definitely see me next year, 100%!"

Roll on to this year and sure enough, Hannah made her triumphant return to the National Junior Games by winning the Andy Wallace Award for Outstanding Achievement.

WheelPower are committed to transforming the lives of disabled children and adults through movement, activity and sport but in order for us to continue this vital work, we need your help.

If you are lucky enough to get a place in the 2024 London Marathon then please consider running (or pushing) for WheelPower. If you are not successful in the ballot, not to worry, WheelPower have guaranteed charity places available!
