Story
Autoimmune diseases affect more than six million people across the UK, with over 80 recognised conditions, including Lupus, Crohn’s, coeliac disease, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
A diagnosis can be overwhelming and isolating, and for many, the emotional impact is just as profound as the physical symptoms.
This is why we are encouraging everyone to get behind our amazing #TEAMWREN cycling team, who will be taking on the 55-miles London to Brighton cycle ride, to support individuals battling with autoimmune diseases.
At the Wren Project, we provide free, confidential listening support to people feeling distressed because of their autoimmune disease. Our trained volunteers create a safe, non‑judgemental space where people can talk openly about the challenges they face. Their role is not to offer advice or solutions, but to be present during times of difficulty, pain, and uncertainty.
“The impact we are having on people’s ability to live with autoimmune disease is profound. People tell us they feel more hopeful, less distressed, and less alone. This transformation is at the heart of everything we do.” - Kate Middleton, Founder and CEO of the Wren Project
We are extremely grateful to all of our supporters. Whether big or small, every donation helps to make a significant impact to those who need it most.
Thank you again from all of us at the Wren Project.
