Story

Be part of the biggest weekend of running in Scotland and join over 15,000 runners of all abilities for the Great Scottish Run! Televised live on the BBC, the course takes runners past a selection of Glasgow's finest venues and buildings. As well as crossing over the River Clyde, runners will take a trip through Pollok Park and Bellahouston Park, before heading back for the grandstand finish on Glasgow Green.

By running with Tearfund on 29 September 2019, you'll be changing the lives of people living in desperate need - like Ruth from Nigeria.

Ruth's children used to beg for food. It broke her heart. 'Everything seemed hopeless,' she says. But then Ruth attended a course run by her church, where she was taught better farming methods. Now she can feed her family, and is saving up money so that her children can go to school. 'Everything has changed,' says Ruth. 'It's so exciting! '

Every £360 raised could help five people like Ruth to receive training to feed and provide for their family. Read more of her story at www.tearfund.org/ruth
