Story
The British Heart Foundation states that to help someone who is in cardiac arrest effectively, a defibrillator needs to be found as quickly as possible. For every minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach someone and deliver a shock, their chances of survival reduce. Thame Guides believes that having a defibrillator located at Thame Guide hut is now important due to how much use the building gets used throughout the week. These groups include:
* a regular programme of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides with over 200 girls ages 5 18;
* regular community group hires, many attended by more elderly people;
* regular one-off events both public and private.
We need your help to raise our target of £1500 so over the next year we will be running a variety of FUN-raising activities to achieve our goal. We are starting this with our Defib-leave-me-alone Fundraiser

We know how busy and how over-committed so many parents and carers already are. So instead of asking you to bake some cakes, do a sponsored run or help man a stall at a fete we have launched a fundraiser that requires almost no effort at all. Just think about the time, effort and resources you WOULD have put in to one of these traditional fundraisers and donate the value of this in £s.
