Walking the Thames Path for Berakhah Medical Centre

Grev will be doing the Thames Path Challenge, walking 185 miles by the start of December, to raise funds for a maternity wing to be added to Berakhah Medical Centre in Uganda, which is run by our partner Special Children's Trust.

MMN seek to make Jesus known through supporting Christian mission as they bring relief from disease, sickness and suffering in various parts of the world. Through the provision of financial support and supplies such as medicine and equipment, lives have been changed and marginalised groups reached.

Story

This winter, we are looking to raise enough funds for Berakhah Medical Centre in Uganda to add a maternity wing to the centre.

Grev will be doing the Thames Path challenge covering 185 miles to try and raise funds for the centre.

The centre currently only has one small room with one birthing bed and cot, and no inpatient or operating facilities for those who have complications during birth. The maternity wing would allow for more mother's to give birth at the centre safely, the provision of caesarean births to be carried out at the centre if necessary and maternal support for mother's during pregnancy and after labour.

The goal of this project is not only to provide more support to mothers but also reduce the number of babies being born with disabilities. Above all, these women will learn how greatly valued they are by God as they are shown love in this practical way.
