Story

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect with the cancellation of thousands of events for charities across the world. 2020 is our 30th anniversary, and sadly we have had to cancel all our fundraising events for the foreseeable, like so many other charities.

However, this is a chance for everyone to get involved to try and help their local charities through this time, and come together as a community.

26th April was the day of the London Marathon day, but as it can't take place this year, they have created the 2.6 challenge to help save the UK's charities.

The 2.6 Challenge can be any activity you like from running, walking, cycling or scooting 2.6 km, to holding an online workout with 26 of your friends. For more challenge ideas visit: https://www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk/inspiration.html

Whatever your age or ability, you can take part. We're not looking for superheroes - were looking for Home Heroes. Choose your 2.6 challenge, head to the event page and set up your very own fundraising page. Then just share with your friends and family. Don't forget to let us know what you are doing and share your photos and videos with #thameschase
