Story

WDR partners have been under huge pressure to respond during the pandemic. In Zimbabwe, the Methodist Development and Relief Agency distributed 9,500 hygiene kits to households. International Justice Mission distributed 38,000 food packages. In Palestine, East Jerusalem YMCA provided a range of supports to 2,500 young people with physical and psychological disabilities. Kopila-Nepal had to divert £30,000 from long-term programmes with low caste and Dalit single mothers and widows, in order to provide food, sanitising materials and counselling. These, and all other partners, and their communities have been hit hard and need all the help they can get. Read our BLOG here.

PAY IT FORWARD means when someone does something for you, instead of paying that person back directly, you pass it on to another person instead. Thank you for passing on your blessing to those who need it.

About the charity

WDR is part of the Methodist Church in Ireland. It works with a range of indigenous partners who carry out long-term development work to see local people empower themselves and bring sustainable change to their communities. Our vision is that every person's God-given potential is fulfilled.
