The Hygiene Bank supports students and their families through our Official Schools Partnership Program. To date we have supported over 300 schools across the UK by providing them hygiene essentials. With over 4 million children living in poverty there are many who are going to school being bullied, excluded or self-isolating because they cant afford to keep clean.

In cases where schools are in areas where we do not have an existing project, we need to rely on monetary donations to support them. We have had a large number of requests for support with over 70 schools waiting for donations. Unsurprisingly, Covid has played a role in the increase of need due to loss of income, the cost of having children at home all day, and the impact of furlough.

With students now back to school we want to help reduce the anxiety and pressure this may be causing families experiencing poverty. We plan to do this by providing basic hygiene essentials to students and families, giving them the lift they need at this challenging time.
