Year 10 Student, Tyler Tawse, from Logan Queensland is the founder and president of the MECO Environment Committee established in 2022.
Tyler – with inspiration from his mentors Cr Mindy Russell and EAA Ambassador Mr Luke Eisenhuth – through strategic networking has established a project in planting a beautiful Jacaranda Tree as a centerpiece for his school in support for Epilepsy Action Australia! Tyler’s aim is to ‘improve the environment whilst connecting to community’.
At just 15 years of age, Tyler has engaged with all layers of government, including Australia’s Treasurer Jim Chalmers, gaining support in improving the environment within the Logan Community - and shifting mindsets.
All profits and proceeds from the landscaping and planting of the Jacaranda will go to Epilepsy Action Australia and funding future projects to support charity and community. Please get behind Tyler and The Jacaranda Tree fundraiser.
