Story

The Purple Leaf Project – Growing Hope This Christmas

Each leaf tells a story. Each message helps hope grow.

This Christmas, WMRSASC is inviting you to be part of The Purple Leaf Project, a Tree of Hope that will stand in Worcester Cathedral from 1 December 2025 to 6 January 2026.

The Hope Tree will be decorated with hundreds of purple wooden leaves — each carrying a message of hope, courage, or encouragement written by survivors, supporters, and local businesses. Together, the leaves will create a powerful symbol of community, compassion, and strength. 💜

By “buying a leaf”, your donation will help fund our Purple Pathways: Brighter Futures for Children project — providing specialist counselling, education, and early intervention for children and families affected by sexual abuse, including child-on-child harm.

Your support will help us:

🌿 Provide trauma-informed counselling for children recovering from abuse

🌿 Deliver early education on safe, healthy relationships

🌿 Support parents and families to create safer, more connected homes

🌿 Build brighter, more hopeful futures for young people across Worcestershire

💜 How to Take Part

Donate £5 (or more) to buy your Purple Leaf.

Leave your message of hope in your donation comment.

We’ll handwrite your message on a purple wooden leaf and hang it on the Hope Tree in Worcester Cathedral.

You can also sponsor bundles of leaves on behalf of your workplace, school, or community group — helping hope grow even faster!

If you’d prefer to decorate your own leaf, let us know in your donation message, and we’ll post one to you to personalise before the launch.

The Hope Tree will be revealed on 1 December, and every visitor to the Cathedral will be able to see the collective messages of support, love, and hope shining from its branches.

If you have any questions, please contact us on: business.support@wmrsasc.org.uk

Together, we can help hope grow. 🌈
