The Struggle Doesn't Stop for Christmas

Campaign by HOME-START BROMLEY

For many families, Christmas is a time of joy. But for countless parents it can also be a time of overwhelming pressure, loneliness, and uncertainty. At Home-Start Bromley, we know that the struggle doesn’t stop for Christmas — and neither do we.

At Home-Start Bromley, we support parents through their toughest moments—because every family deserves someone to lean on. Last year, we supported over 200 families, with trained volunteers offering thousands of hours of support. Your donation helps us reach more parents who are struggling.

Story

Our families - Stories of hope

Julia, a mother with a mobility disability, was isolated at home with her young children until a Home-Start Bromley volunteer helped her rebuild confidence and reconnect with her community. Selina, struggling with postnatal depression, found vital emotional support in our therapeutic mothers’ group. At Christmas, Aisha received a much-needed Christmas hamper and food vouchers for her children when she was struggling to even heat her flat. Tina, fleeing domestic abuse with her children, gained strength through our therapeutic groups and one-to-one counselling, helping her rebuild her life. Families like theirs face challenges such as mental-health struggles, disability, poverty and abuse — and Home-Start Bromley provides the practical help, emotional support and community connection that change lives.
