We are taking part in the 2.6 Challenge to save the UKs charities and fundraise for our activities for autism/additional needs families so that we can get back up and running when able to do so.
As you can imagine, these are difficult times for charities as it is not possible to fundraise in the usual manner. In the past we have received donations via shows, pantomime, carnival, fetes, sponsored activities etc. This year we are the chosen charity for the Senior Section at Blacknest Golf Club - but of course golfing is off for the time being.
We need to continue fundraising so that we can get back up and running our activities (Saturday Zones, Fun Zones, Teen Zones and our Zone Outs) once it is possible to do so. Our sessions are for local families with children with autism or similar additional needs. It is often difficult for them to get the children out and joining in with mainstream activities. Once we are all able to take part in social activities again, our sessions will be needed more than ever so that families can come along, get support, connect with others and feel relaxed and accepted with their children joining in and having fun.
Please DONATE to our campaign or take part in a 2.6 challenge yourself. It can be any activity you like, themed around 2.6, 26 etc. - from running 2.6 miles to holding an online activity with 26 of your friends. Whatever your age or ability, you can take part.
