Story
What can you do 300 times? Set yourself The 300 Challenge and raise vital funds for a fantastic cause.
The 300
Take part in The 300 for Julian House and do 300 of any activity that challenges you, makes you feel good or helps others. Raising a minimum of £200 will help ensure vulnerable people across our services get the help and support they need.
Why 300?
The projects and services that Julian House provides covers a 300 mile route, including an emergency access hostel in Bath, rough sleeper outreach support in Basingstoke, domestic abuse services in Wiltshire, Trainer Tenancies accommodation for young people in Devon and supported housing projects in Exeter. In total, Julian House supports over 2000 people each year.
Our vision is for a fair society where socially excluded people are supported and empowered to build sustainable, independent lives, and this a challenge that EVERYONE can take part in.
Choose your own challenge and help us make that vision a reality. Let’s get started!
What is The 300?
The challenge is simple: do 300 of whatever you like! It may push you to your limits or it might be something you just love doing for fun. Whether it’s 300 keepy-ups with a football, a 300-mile walk across the UK or spinning your favourite vinyl record 300 times, the fundraising you do for us will help us reach and support far more people across our 300-mile radius.
You can get started whenever suits you.
We can’t wait to hear what your 300 is going to be!
Ideas?
Some ideas include..
300 minutes of continuous dancing, 300 laps of your garden, 300 lengths of your street, 300 dance routines, sing 300 songs, make 300 phone calls to friends you rarely keep in touch with, do 300 good deeds, write 300 poems, make and sell 300 cupcakes, take 300 photos, make 300 TikTok reels, tell 300 jokes, flip 300 pancakes, run 300 miles on a treadmill, collect 300 items to donate to charity shops…whatever you want to do!
Got any tips?
- Choose something you like to do, that makes you feel good or challenges you
- Make sure your 300 is achievable but not too easy…you want people to sponsor you and they will want to know if you are pushing yourself out of your comfort zone
- Send your Just Giving link to family, friends and colleagues. Their support will keep you going if things get tough. Not only with fundraising sponsorship but also emotional support.
- Encourage friends, family and colleagues to take on their own challenge or help you with yours.
- Take photos and videos of your 300 journey. Post to social media with #300challenge #julianhouseuk to get more support and help raise awareness of the many services and projects Julian House provides.
